ABOUT
MILT BAEHR, CEO
Milt Baehr is a CEO of Baehr
Technology Partners, LLC. Mr. Baehr
has over 40 years experience in the
computer field, as well as over 30
years in the financial industry.
Mr. Baehr received his
BSEE in Computer Science from Case
Institute of Technology in 1968.
After receiving his degree, Mr.
Baehr shifted from software to
hardware in order to capitalize on
the emerging mini-computer
industry. As a consultant, he
designed integrated
hardware/software solutions for a
number of national accounts. Some
of his projects included a chemical
control system for Dow Chemical and a production control system
for Goodyear Tire and Rubber.
In 1969, Mr. Baehr was
recruited as one of the original
team members for Data General Corp.
Using his expertise to implement
mini-computer-based solutions for
both business and scientific
applications, Mr. Baehr contributed
significantly to Data General's
early success.
In 1972, at the age of
26, he formed Milt Baehr &
Associates, a consulting firm
specializing in mini-computer
technology. Completed projects
included the first Computerized
Credit Card Printer and the first
Electronic Automated Credit Card
Authorization System for
MasterCard.
After years of success
in his personal investing, Mr. Baehr
followed his passion to merge
computer technologies into the
financial world. In 1976 he trained
with Reynolds Securities, Inc. and,
in 1978, joined E.F. Hutton &
Company, Inc. in Malibu California.
During his ten-year
tenure with Hutton (1978-1987), he
served as management as well
as a trader, designing artificial
intelligence based futures trading
systems, real-time option pricing
models, as well as a branch
management information system. The
structure of monthly futures
statements, used today by many
leading brokerage firms, is borrowed
from Mr. Baehr's model.
Mr. Baehr founded The Derivative
Management Group, Inc. in 1991. DMG
provided investment management services
to institutions and high net worth
investors. The company designed and
used real time and artificial
intelligence based software for the
trading of S&P 500 Index Futures. As
the Internet developed, DMG was one of
the original investment management
companies to host its own web site.
Milt began the initial development of
PerTrac in 1995. In 1996 He founded
Strategic Financial Solutions, LLC and
until 2006, built the company into the
one of the world's leading Financial
Software companies. Strategic Financial
was sold in July 2005 to Insight Venture
Partners, LLC.
In 2008, Milt was elected to the Board of Directors of Castle Gold
Corporation. He was later appointed CEO. The company was sold to Argonaut Gold
Corporation in January 2010.
Milt currently serves on the Board of Discovery
Bay Yacht Club as their Director of Finance. His hobbies include music, sailing
and golf.
